Are you just wanting to add the music as an attachment to send or do you want it to play in the background of the email itself. Adding as an attachment do this; open a new email, do what you do normally to send and email to some one....To, subject, then the body of the email. Then in the ribbon above look for insert tab, click it. Then you'll see attach file w/paper clip, click that one. Then in the new window pick the file you want to attach...ie pictures. click that and then search for what picture you want then click insert at bottom. You should see pop up under the subject line. To add it as background music in the email....I haven't quite figured that one out yet even if that is possible in Outlook 07. I know you can do that in Windows Live Mail. Which I also use and it's free.

After digging around it seems that this function was taken out of Outlook 07 for security reasons. I understand that it's still a feature of the older versions of Outlook. For adding music in the background I would go with WLM (Windows Live Mail), simple, nice GUI (graphics user interface) and very user friendly. A few clicks and your done. I think it's better than Live mail that comes with Vista. If you really want to get graphical with emails I also have and use Incredimail. I have the paid version but there is a free version. You can add voice recordings, background music, mail themes....it's loaded. You decide what's right for your needs. Hoped this helped some what. Let us know what you choose.
