OK. My computer crashed, but I've got backups of the windows mail messages. I'm trying to import them into Windows.
I start the import wizard, which asks for the folder containing the messages. But the wizard clunks at me and complains that "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open."
Neither is true. This wizard is a fraud.
I know that it is not true because I can go into the folder with the messages using 'explore' and see the messages. I can even double click on them, and since they are linked to windows mail, a copy of that program opens up and I can view the message.
But I want them in a folder that's accessible to windows mail when I start it up in the usual way. How can I do that?
