Windows Mail error when trying to send

A few days ago, Windows Mail stopped being able to send e-mails. This is what it said:

A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to connect to the server.

Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC15
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No

As you can see, I use Yahoo Mail. I looked up the error code and got to this microsoft support page. The error is described as "Unable to open Windows socket." I don't know what this means, but I figured a firewall might be blocking it. I turned off Windows Firewall and made sure port 25 was forwarded to my IP (by the way I'm using a laptop on my home wireless network). I can't seem to find a solution. Please help!

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ's righteousness.
Fixed it. Just used port 465 for SMTP and port 995 for POP3 and checked the "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" for both. Worked like a charm after that.
