Google Homepage

Hi, I am using internet explorer 8 with inPrivate activated. I have google set as my homepage,the drop down list where gmail,images,maps etc are,does not appear,and the page says error?,but if I go to my favorites and select google,it is ok? does anyone know why this is?,as it is annoying as I have to select google from the favorites. seems all your trouble lately is internet explorer LOL (i use chrome but also have ie8)

just checked mine,as i use google for home page and gmail. mine is all good. but here is a link to look at.

LOL Yeah... I did what you said but the problem is still there,if I disable inprivate it is ok, but enabled I have the problem,but if I click google on my favorites it is ok,it only happens when I start ie8,as google is my homepage...

I think it is a google problem. A few months ago google.com stopped working for me at home.

I had to start using the url I had bookmarked, which had a bunch of stuff off the end of the url. If i remember correctly, it had things like lan=en in it.

I'm still OK

Here is what I have to use at home to get to google:

http://www.google.com/webhp?sa=N&hl=en&tab=lw

Try changing the homepage to none and do a few re-boots...
Then change it back re-boot and see what happens....

Suddenly works for me now. I didn't have to reboot or anything. Could have been a hiccup on their server.

Hmmm...I am still having problems... it works from my favs but not from starting ie8?

How can you get it to work?,I cannot??,yours is same as mine..inprivate, but I have inprivate to start straight away when I start ie8,is that the problem?..hmmm??

I use FF 2.x, not IE anything if I can help it.

I have a shortcut to it when I feel the need to be "hidden"
