IE 8 Says 256 Bit-I have a 64Bit Vista

Deleted Post as I ,think I have found the problem. Yet IE does not show up in my installed programs.

Hi Jillian in Vista Internet explorer is one of those programs that you cannot uninstall in the control panel - it is deemed as a required component by the computer. The 256bit in IE8 is the encryption type. more bits that it is encrypted with the harder it is to hack generally.
I hope this clarifies this a little bit more for you
