Windows Mail reset but remebers settings!

Hi I followed the excellent tutorial on here to reset windows mail by deleting from the registy and all the data in the user/appdat/windows mail folder.
Everytime I restart it it brings back some of the settings from previously eg the pop account settings and the title "outlook express provided by Freeeserve" The initial transfer was done from XP using the easy transfer wizard so I am guessing there must be some outlook express settings in the registry it's using to reconstruct windows Mail?
Any ideas how to delete it. The problem I have is that Windows Mail crashes and restarts when ever I close the program. I have tried disabling AV.
If I create a fresh user it is fine but there is another issue in copying all my settings over so I dont want to use a new profile really.
Any tips much appreciated.

Hello Mapzza,

I guess since you have used the Easy Transfer it might have transferred the Outlook Express setting as well. Follow this KB OLEXP: How to Manually Uninstall and Reinstall Outlook Express on Windows Millennium this will speak how to manually remove Outlook Express i guess this should apply for you.

Hope this helps,
Captain
