Well, you can click Tools -> Clear Recent History. You can press Ctrl+Shift+Del for that too. Also, you can use programs like CCleaner and stuff for that too.
If you want to delete particular entries in the saved history, press Ctrl+H to pull up a list of visited sites and delete each one manually.
there is no browser (even Firefox) that could clean all cookies, cache and index files from your computer. So, try some cleaning tool. I like Mil Shield because it cleans the whole system and meantime you can keep these cookies, cache and so on you want to.
After running of history cleaning check History->Show all history option in Firefox.
If there are tracks and history files in this location (there are always tracks!) then download Mil Shield, if you already did not. It is the best for history and cache cleaning.
As for Internet traces and history, Mil Shield is definitely the best choice. You can open also tools/recent history but it is manual option and will leave many uncleaned traces.

You can simply delete a particular website name without deleting overall history. When you type a URL to open a particular website, on the right end of URL bar you can see a red colored cross, you need to click that cross and that particular website name will be deleted from the history. If you want to delete any website address, type a few initial letters among the URL and when the full name appears, you need to click that red cross.
