The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'Here are the photos that I want to share with you', Account: 'pop3.live.com', Server: 'smtp.live.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

Go to the website of your email provider. They will give you instructions on how to correctly set up your account in windows live. The error is a port number, most likely.

If you have tried these ports and you cannot send, go to ghe webiste of your ISP, use the ports suggested by them.

You Do have an ISP. It is shared but there has to be one. Sometimes the ISP blocks the port that is suggested by the email provider, in an attemp to stop spam. If you get the name of the SHARED ISP, I will try to help get the necessary information.

Could not find too much information on your ISP. I am not even sure if Telstra bigpond is the same as the one that you are using. In any event, go to your account settings and use the telstra smpt setting. If it does not work it may mean that big pond is not your ISP or that another port number has to be used or that outgoing mail is just blocked.

What is my ISP's SMTP Mail Server

You not have to change anything in telstra. Just put the smpt information in your windows live mail, account settings, and see if it works.
