Multiple mails sent on every occasion

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has come across this odd behaviour:
I am using Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium 64 bit (SP2) and whenever I send an email the recipient always recieves six copies of it. This is independent of the address I send the mail to, and it is always six copies (including any attachments if I add them).

Any suggestions on how to overcome this irritating situation would be welcome.

Thanks,

Isaac

Welcome,

Lets be sure where the problem is. It can be with Windows Live Mail or with your email providor. I think it may be with your email providor. What do you think?

Indeed I haven't a clue where the problem is; I was hoping someone here would recognise the problem.
Perhaps the problem is with the email provider (any suggestions on how to find out?) but I suspect not, simply because I can see Windows Mail sending the six copies, especially when the email is large or contains attachments (due to the process being slower). However, I aknowledge that this may still be due to an incorrect interaction between the provider and Windows Mail; I just don't know enough about how the process works to be sure.

I think the best solution is to uninstall and then install a new Windows Live Mail. You can uninstall from the control panel>programs. It will be listed as windows live essentials or some such thing. If you need help just post. Back up all your mail first. Set a sytem resore point before uninstalling, so you could go back in case you do not like the new Windows Live Mail.
