Windows mail, subject does not match e-mail body

I have a strange problems since a few days I hope I can explain it well.

When I look at my received e-mails in the upper right screen and click on one, the message body in the lower screen shows a different e-mail message. And the e-mail message I was looking for seems to be gone .

So I guess my Windows mail is a bit messed up. Is there a way to fix this?

I guess this is the same problem. The e-mails I have trouble with are all e-mail put in a submap with a rule. When they are in my inbox thay are ok but when I drag it to another map it gets messed up.
Very strange.

This is something very recent. I have not had this issue before.
I don't know if this is related to the problem or not but I am currently using Advast antivirus. I was using Norton 360 but when I did updates, something always went wrong. I don't think it likes x64.

It occurs only when I put e-mail messages in maps outside my inbox, with or without a rule. Very strange.

Hope you have not deleted your emails that are messed up. I found a fix for my situation. The first thing I tried was I switched anti-virus programs, this did not help. Today, I exported all my email messages (including some that appeared to be messed up) and folders to a new folder on my desktop. Then I deleted all the emails and sub-folders like Larry, Sue, Ebay etc. I kept Local Folders, Inbox, Sent... all the major folders. Then I imported the messages back into Windows Mail. All rules were deleted also during this process. The messages look fine now! Don't ask me why but it worked. Wish I had thought of this before I deleted a large number of emails that appeared to be messed up. I will post you some images that might help you a little later. I'm currently doing a full backup on my Vista machine and I'm now on another computer without the images I created to show you. Hopes this helps you with your problem.

Well I found out how to up load the images I was talking about earlier.

This is the structure of the exported emails.
You just have to go looking for the emails you want.

Here are the "Imported Folders" after the import:

Locate the emails you want and "Copy to Folder" the emails you want.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip and the images. It did not work out for me the first time. I deleted all messages and subfolders in Windows Mail and reset the program to factory settings. I imported the e-mail in my inbox but as soon as I drag a message in a new subfolder, the message is messed up again. Very strange. Glad it worked out for you.
Will perhaps try it again later.

Remember once I imported the emails I used Copy To Folder not dragging to put them where I wanted them. One thing I did not do this time that I did before, I only have sub-folders 1 deep under the main folder inbox.

I dragged the e-mails from the back-up location to the new folder in Windows Mail but I some back-up folders in duplicate so I just dragged them all to the new folders. I have already made some new rules and it seems to work again. Still no idea what caused it.
