Windows e-mail going to wrong account

Windows e-mail asked for my user name and password. This was the first time I remember being asked for this information since I set up the account more than a year ago. I accidentally entered my husband's information. I'm able to send and receive e-mails from my account. My husband can still send outgoing messages from his account; however all his incoming messages are now arriving in my in box rather than his. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Try to go to accounts. Top of page
Look for the account information, password etc. Then put the correct information.

If that does not work, report back.

Thanks for the suggestion. I entered my correct account information, and was able to successfully send & receive messages. I then switched to my husband's account, and hit send/receive. He is still not getting his e-mails. I then tried sending a test message from my account to him and it didn't show up in either his in box or mine. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Good point
If he has Windows Live Mail 2011. This is how it is backed up
Export Windows Live Mail 2011 Messages | Backup Windows Live Mail | MS Windows
If it is another edition of live mail, and you do not know how to export (back up), I will help you.

In addition, depending on the type of email service you have, the email may be still on the email server.

If you do not want to lose the mail or contacts, be sure that you understand the procedure before trying

I just had another idea. Go to the email website and change his password. See it that helps. Seems that was the start of all the problems. You may try changing yours, too.
