windows mail and earthlink

My email provider is earthlink.net. Since changing isp's to acegroup.cc, any message I send to an earthlink address winds up in their webmail known spam filter regardless of how the settings are tweaked. This didn't happen with other isp's and doesn't happen if I use earthlink's webmail. Earthlink engineers say there is a problem with the windows mail app and earthlink that they cannot fix, and said to contact Microsoft. Acegroup also says there is nothing they can do. So, here I am. Any suggestions?

Earthlink has ace on the spam list. Ace customers must have been sending a lot of spam to Earthlink customers and now the entire Ace community is branded as spam senders.
There is nothing that you can do unless you dump ace, contact Earthlink and try to work it our or do not use their email service.
To me this is the most possbile scenario, I have seen it many times.
I am sure however that there are also other possibilites.
It has nothing to do with Windows Mail. The email is probably being sent via ace, even with the Earthlink Address.

Compare the settings in both.
Especially the SMPT settings
If they are the same, I will agree
If they differ my original post may still be accurate

Well then I suggest that you update and get Windows Live mail 2011. Your email may be corrupted.
Set up a system restore point first in case you do not like it.

Windows live mail to earthlink.net is caught in the same known spam filter, just like windows mail. The Thunderbird program didn't have this problem but it has problems importing the .csv addresssbook file saved from webmail.

My Computer

This is what we know
New live mail
Still does not work
Sounds to me that my first answer, with a slight variation, is correct. Mail from Live Mail is not being accepted by Earthlink
They must receive a lot of spam from Live Mail users and thats how they put a stop to it
Have no other ideas or suggestions, except one
You can set up live mail in two ways.
It is sent from your ISP and uses the address of Earthlink or
if
your ISP allows, it can be actually sent by Earthlink
Find out which you have and try the other if permitted by your ISP
I have an ATT affiliate as my ISP and cannot send via my email. I use my email address but ATT actully does the sending. The SMPT information is that of ATT.

After the hours I've put into this, I'm pretty well fed up with earthlink and MS. If what you say is true, why didn't this problem arise with other isp's? I was able to get Thunderbird to download my contacts from Windows Mail (the webmail donwload had a blank icon but no disply, but if you clicked on it the info would pop up). So Thunderbird doesn't get caught in the known spam at earthlink, I'll see how that goes.
