Hello
The internet icon (showing connection) on the lower right of the desktop is, somehow, absent.
Please tell me how would I recover it (I feel naked without it)?
Thank you
Dean Taylor

Hi,
Try this: -
Task bar properites
Notification area
Now tick the box for system icons network. This should bring back the network connection icon, OK?

Hi again Dean,
Another issue, eh? No problem. What Lottie suggested is the normal procedure for restoring the icons there if they've been turned off; however, I've discovered that usually when you check you find the option greyed out and you can't check the box to add it. Or even if it can be checked and works, the problem occurs again during another reboot or became unchecked for no apparent reason. This happens to me from time to time. A reboot normally solves the problem (both of them), but the following is a better way and may be more permanent.
Here's how to repair the problem if that occurs (and possibly also help prevent it from occurring again): Notification Area - System Icons. There are separate procedures for each of the 4 system primary notification icons - all essentially the same but using different files or locations.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
