This is the problem that i got recently from my IE

My Firefox is working but IE not


This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

  • Internet connectivity has been lost.
  • The website is temporarily unavailable.
  • The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
  • The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
  • If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds

  1. Click the Favorites Center button
    favcenter.png
    , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.

To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)

  1. Click Tools
    tools.png
    , and then click Work Offline.
  2. Click the Favorites Center button

    , click History, and then click the page you want to view.

Please post the link of the site you are trying to reach so I can test it with my own IE and see if it's a problem with the site.

In the meantime, try the following to see if you can fix IE assuming it's a problem with IE:

So you are using IE7 since that's the customization page. I had no problems with it. So now proceed to check out the articles to see if we can identify the problem.

Hi innocentboy,

If none of the options I suggested above worked and yet you can get online with Firefox, then the issue probably isn't your connection. Further, if you did the reset, then the issue isn't with how IE7 is configred and if you did the no-add on test, then the issue isn't an add-on causing the problem. I'm a bit surprised none of that worked, but perhaps there's a problem with your IE files. Since iE7 is built into Vista, we can't re-install it separately. I recommend you upgrade IE7 to IE8 and see if doing that resolves the problem.

my IE worked very well until i got to know about IE 9 from this forum
when i tried to install that one

that one not installed also this one is out of work

but my Firefox is working right now

I would remove addons as suggested
Then go to search, type- turn windows features on and off
Untick IE then turn off computer

Then boot, go back and tick IE.

If it still does not work, I would just go to IE 8

one thing
why i can't find IE in Programs Feature in control panel to uninstall
i couldn't delete it too from C

Try doing the way that I suggested. It will be like a new install.

You should have IE8, anyway. For no other reason, it has better security.
