Why do people's emails get bounced when trying to send me mail?

I have an international business contact(Chile S.A.), who's emails keep getting bounced back to him. The email I have given him is from a GoDaddy domain name forwarded to my Earthlink master email account.

Why does this happen and what can I do to fix it?

Thanks

Hi welcome to the forum.
You have to obviously check the agreed paths for that e mail to be accepted by Earthlink, being the accepting party.
Again the agreed path direct from him through the other 2 parties have to be checked.
Are you sure your busuness connection is following all the protocols to get to GoDaddy?
If at GoDaddy his mail is not of type then they will reject & return, same goes for Earthlink.

Are you able or have you used that exact same link from Chile?
Has it worked & now doesn't?

The two links my help a little:-

Hello, Welcome to the forum,

The most likely cause of problems like this are misconfigured mail servers on the sender's side or with their ISP or corporate mail server.

The most common misconfiguration is what is called an open relay. A mail server that is an open relay will allow any computer on the Internet to send mail through it. This is one of the most common ways that spammers send out their junk email. Once a spammer finds an open relay, they will continue using it to send out as much spam as they can until the relay gets shut down.

In order to get mail from that person again the administrator of the listed server will need to fix the problem(s) that got them listed. Once the problem is corrected the administrator will need to submit their server for testing and removal from the lists.

you better talk to your Email provider. They can give you some useful solution.

Look at this link it may help you.
