No browser is working

I have a user account set up just for my grandson with nothing on the desktop but shortcuts to his games.

Suddenly, neither Firefox 3.6.17 or IE8 will work in that account. When I try to open IE8 some sort of Google page opens and I get a window with the following info:

A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer.
Adobe Flash Player
Adobe Systems Inc.
Details ... 21\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.exe

I have clicked on both Allow and Don't Allow and it makes no difference. If anyone has ideas why this is happening please let share. Should I just delete this user account and start a new one?

Welcome
Sounds like it can be a virus, maybe the Google Redirect virus. Run a full anti virus scan.
From another account download and malwarebytes, then see if it can scan in the problem account.

I had this same thought, but I run a FULL virus scan every day with Avast Internet Security 6. This has been going on now for several days and no virus has been noted.

I ran a FULL scan two days ago with Mbam and there was one item, Trojan.Agent, found in c/Windows/Installer -- I couldn't find the item but Mbam reports that it was quarantined and removed successfully.

My Administrators Account works fine.

I am not comfortable with Malwarebytes just removing that Trojan, it may still be causing problems.. Some trojans can compromise your bank accounts, broker accounts, etc. How about, I contact our security expert. If she gives you the all clear, I will help. If she finds a problem, she will help you.
I suggest this because, as I said, even your password protected accounts could be in danger. If wrong no harm done.

Try right clicking on the browser then click Run As Administrator. Your grandson's account probably has privileges about the same as Guest.

I think I discovered the problem. I had never gone through the set-up process for IE8 on grandson's account. I went into Computer/C/Program Files and opened IE8 from there. It opened and asked me to go through the set up. I can now use both browsers.

On the question of the Trojan removal, that always makes me a little nervous too. I have done a couple of quick scans since it was removed and nothing was found. If you think I might have a problem let me know.

Thanks a lot to all who answered.

If you are up and running and you get an all clear from your AntiVirus
and if you download and run malwarebytes and get the OK. I would say that you do not have a problem.
