Windows Mail Problem

What is happening is when I open a mail and then delete it, it does not go into my deleted folder. It just disappears. Now if I don't open an email and just delete it, it goes into the deleted folder no problem. Can someone please advise? My attempts at fixing the problem have been: Downloaded PC Health Advisor and it was suppose to fix registry issues. It did not help. Also, I downloaded a some "win tool" thing that was suppose to clean up windows mail. No help. :(

Hello Lynn, Welcome to the forum.

Click on Tools, then Options, then Advanced. If there's no checkmark in the box before Use the 'Deleted Items' folder with IMAP accounts, click on this box then Apply. Click on OK.

I think this may fix your problem.

Thanks.
Arvin

Just uncheck the "Deleted Items Folder for IMAP accounts " and check. Is that working fine?

Note: I misread it. I was suggesting you for Windows Live Mail.

Thanks.

Thanks for trying to help me with this, Arvin but nothing in that link helped fix the problem. I just don't know what it could be. I wish I could uninstall windows mail and then reinstall it but that is not possible since it is part of Vista. I did download Windows Live and used it for a bit but didn't like it.

I tried that link and when I got to PROPERTIES the box did not have a tab for IMAP!! The only tabs available were General, Servers, Connection, Security and Advanced.
