I was looking at a Windows Mail issue for a friend and I am totally confused as to where the problem lies.

Most emails come into Windows Mail OK, mail from about 3 of his contacts exhibit the problem, we have since discovered that they all use Apple Mac. Mail from iPad and iPhone are OK.

The mail list shows that he has a mail from one of these contacts, it also shows the subject line etc. Double clicking on the email brings up a screen that basically says that the data is unavailable, in addition to this the sender is shown as "unknown" and the original sender name is now on the "to" box. Further investigation shows that the mail has no Internet headers, just some MIME info.

I am assuming that this is occurring in the local PC as it could not have got there without the headers. Mail is collected by POP3 from a BTconnect email address, there are no message rules, Mail is scanned by ESET antivirus.

Anyone got any ideas about this one.

Thanks
