Blurry IE9 text

Hi

I just installed win 7 for the first time.
And i want to ask about EI 9 and blurry text.

When i open IE 9 then on some site sthe text seems a littel blurry/fuzzy
Actualy this text im writing here has a small blurry look.

I tryed to disable smooth edge text and i did severals cleartype calibrations with clear type on and off

The text in windows 7 folders and system looks sharp and good compared to the Text in the IE browser, so it has to be IE 9 related.

I did some google search on blurry text and there are other peole having this problem also, but i could not find any way to fix it :s

I run with 1900 x 1200 60 hz and it had no problems in vista or xp.
It is just win 7 with this browser i am having problems on some sites. Then i tryed to run in compatibel mode and that helped a littel on some sites. But it isent 100 %
good.

is there a fix fo rthis ?
And i dont want to use other browsers because i normaly like IE

Yes that is exactly my problem..what all these people writes..IE9 is good but has horrible blurry text.

I guess there is no fix beside rolling back to IE 8

YOu can go back to 8 or try some of the other great browsers. My friend is using Firefox.

I wouldn't advise downgrading to a less secure version of IE. Have you perhaps inadvertently turned of Cleartype or perhaps changed the default font and screen magnification?

First go to IE9 Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click Reset, Apply and OK to put IE back to its default settings. Close and reopen it.

Then go to Tools/Manage Add-Ons and re-enable any add-ons you need.

Next from your desktop, right-click and select Personalise. Select Adjust Font Size over at the left and make sure it's default.

Next go to Start and click Help and Support, search for Cleartype and then click the link on how to turn it on.

yes i have allready trued to reset my IE 9 with default settings. And if i enable cleartype in screen settings then the text becomes much more blurry than with no clear type

My Computer

This is wierd ...i just opened Ie 9 on youtube and then the text was blurry but if i press the maximimize icon in the top corner so it fits to the full screen and then resize it to window mode, then the text sudenly changed to sharp.

But when i close Ie 9 and open it again then the text is blurry again until i do the same resize thing again.

What could be wrong ?

My Computer

And it also has something to do with Compatible because when i disable Compatible mode and resize the browser window in Ie 9 then the text stays blurry, but if i enable Compatible mode and resize the brower window then the text becomes sharp.

My Computer

What type of monitor are you using? I'm finding this rather bizarre and am stumped for any other ideas for now I'm afraid.

I'm assuming that your Vista is totally up to date. There is a KB article at Microsoft about this same issue: Text in some core fonts appears blurred in Internet Explorer 9 on a computer that is running Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2 but it was issued quite a while ago and theoretically you should already have received that patch.

The forum I found it on states that the definitive cure for occasional blurriness in IE9 is to make sure that Compatibility View is set to display all websites in that mode. Tools > Compatibility View Settings
