Hi not sure if this is in the right place but I keep getting the message "Something unexpected has happened and Windows Live Mail has had to close down" then my laptop just shuts down as if you just turned it off with the power button but when I fire it back up it starts as normal not sure what is wrong any help would be grateful.

OK then it is not a mail problem. Your computer shuts down regardless of what you do, correct?

Lets test,
Try in safe mode, does it work, now?
