internet access for skype and i tunes

Hi,
I've had trouble with my PC since i've moved to IE9. I have eventually worked out that I can access the internet via IE9 64 bit shortcut but other programmes like skype, i tunes tell me that I'm not connected to the internet, even though the diagnostics show that I am - I'm completely stuck! does anyone hae any ideas on how to open internet access again. thanks

Can you try to do a system restore ? or try to uninstall IE 9 and check.
