The past month, whenever I logon to an https:// site, (hotmail, banking, credit card site etc.) it takes forever for the site to appear. It used take a few seconds at most. I have researched it to no avail. Does anyone have any options for me?

Welcome
For a test and maybe the solution, try using another browser, Chrome, Firefox etc and see if the problem persists.

I tried chrome and the same thing. The funny thing is that sometimes with IE it is quick, and sometimes it takes a minute + And it used act like any other web page. It just started one day by itself.

Well, for whatever reason, my system got hosed the other night. After spending hours trying to fix it, to no avail, I had to do a full system restore. Luckily all my data was saved to an external hard disk. Don't know if the slowness was a precurser of things to come.

Thank you to everyone who responded.
