Hi everybody! My Internet explorer 7 in a big trouble! When I open any search engine instead of the site I want, I get a few strange sites with advertisement. URL address started with http://63.209.69/search/web/my site divided with “% and at the end – “/itcg-20342/v5”. If I close them, I lose my search engine too.
When I finally get the site I’m looking for, a few minutes later, I get a box with the message “Internet explorer stopped working’, “Restart program” when I try to close this box I lose everything.
I ran Malware bytes, AVG, I Obit malware fighter, Advanced system care 4, Spybot, nothing helps.
I tried system restore, but my vista windows, not allow restore to more than 5 days back, I would like to restore to 30 or 60 days back. May be somebody knows how to restore to earlier date then 5 days
I tried to update my explorer to version 9, but I do not have uninstall application, and I get a message
“Several programs will stop working’, how to upgrade?
Please help!!!

Our experts suggest that if you do in fact have rootkit the best remedy is to reinstall. There is no way of knowing if it entirely gone and they can be dangerous. Here is an article about one type of Rootkit, but the principle holds true for all.

Do what you feel is best, but I would reinstall, better safe than sorry. In addition our experts who recommend such a procedure are among the best.

Thanks to all. TDSSKiller found only one rootkits. Maybe there are more of them.
To reinstall OS is a big job. I do not keep on this computer any sensitive documents. Only Photo Shop and pictures. I will post if it continues to redirect.
