Strange IE9 problem

I have Vista Home Premium with IE9 installed and Yahoo as my home page. Until recently all was fine. However I now find that if I click on a link in Yahoo to get to the comments section thatsection is all greyed out. The comments are readable but faint, and there is no place to 'add a comment',but the link's text itself is fine. Only the comments are affected. It's all very odd. Any ideas?

Hello. I answer at Yahoo Answers.. it has issues at times. Run Ccleaner for temp files and cookies and reboot . Then check at Yahoo Answers and see if that cleared that up .

Thanks,but no solution yet. Tried going back to IE8 and Yahoo comments OK for a few seconds then back to greyed out. Went back to IE9,same thing. Don't know where to turn.This has suddenly happened-after years OK. Why? Help please.

Try another browser .. see if it still happens.. I like Firefox .. I also like Pale Moon .. sister browser of Firefox

Before I try another browser There is one more clue to what's going on. When I click on the Yahoo link and get the greyed-out comments,the little 'wheel' that indicates 'working' goes on revolving.Does this indicate that the problem is that the comments are not downloading properly and if so,is there a remedy? I have no problems with downloading anything else.
