I am currently running Vista Home Premium and windows mail.
I am looking forhelpon backing up windows mail to an external Hard Drive.
I also have a memory stick 16G. Can anyone please help me out and show me a path
as to how I can backup the windows mail files onto the externa; hard drive. Itis a
Seagate 3.0.

Im not currently at home and am going by memory. If you look at the top of your inbox email, you will see (on top) file. I believe if you click on that you will see export and import, hit export.

Hi, This is Jim thank you for the help.
I did try and follow the steps given yo me with no success. I am very new to this and I believe the reason for the fix is not working is my error. Would someone out there be willing to perhaps walk me thru the steps one at a time so I can learn this correctly'

I'm sorry to hear that. What were your results, or what part didn't work for you?
The key step is step 1 of creating a empty new folder to import your email messages into at step 6.

Thank you for getting back to me.
My problem is that I don't know were or how to create the new folder. I imagine I can copy and paste the link that was was given to me.,
but were do I create theflder... microsoft word , my email.. etc. etc.
I believe that is why I need to have a one on one phone chat. This way I can take quick notes and eable to proceed on my own.

You can right click on your desktop, click on New, and Folder to create a "New Folder" on your desktop. From there, you would follow the steps in the tutorial link below to export your messages into the "New Folder".
