If I close Chrome (like by mistake or something) and then need it again right away it won't open. So I'm concluding it isn't shutting down properly. I checked my Task Manager and it shows nothing. I have to wait as long as 10 tgo 15 minutes before I can open it. Any solutions?

You might try deleting your browsing history. I don't have Chrome so I don't know if it has a tool like IE does called Express Cleanup. Also, try running the Windows Disk Cleanup utility from Accessories and rebooting.

I just did the cache and a cc clean up. I am always in Farmville which really stresses my browsers and now I wonder if that is the program that is hanging up Chrome. It's hung up again. I can't open it. Grrrrrrrr. I just did a disk cleanup, I paid over $100 for it so it better not need it again.
I tried using ccleaner and got this message: You must close Google Chrome to allow the Internet Cache to be cleaned.
Otherwise this process will be skipped.

What do you mean that you paid to have the disc cleaned?
In addition, you have to be careful with CC cleaner and others. In general, you shouldn't have them set to clean your registry.

I do not have "clean registry" checked.
A company called Iveera remotely cleaned out both my desktop and laptop about a month ago for $179. both are running great now, all except Google Chrome not shutting properly. At least I think that's what's wrong.

Gateway - Desktop - 4GB Memory - 500GB Hard Drive but it has Windows 8. Can you give me a link to that forum? I bought a program to tranfer data but what about my emails? Will I be able to still read them and import them to Win8? What is your opinion of Win8?
I'll still use this forum too because my husband will be using this HP with Vista. He just does basic stuff.
