Any good ones? How's Superbird if you know of it, or Comodo Dragon, Pale Moon, Torch, etc? My Chrome hasn't updated its Flash which I see from other places is not a rarity so I'm thinking about a different browser.

Are there any drawbacks to Opera? How does it stand up to Chrome for an average surfer?

On Vista64 I found Waterfox to be excellent. All Firefox AddOns I tried worked with it. Very quick. It's a native 64 bit Firefox implementation.

In addition to what Richard said, Firefox is a bit slow than Opera and Chrome but has a much better security based browsing experience. Opera has much more features than Chrome. However, both Opera and Chrome leapfrog each other with updates, but right now Chrome holds the fastest browser mark.

Note the Firefox test is for version 19 but the latest is 24.0

Not for my laptop either unless I figure out how to add a dark theme. I have to use high contrast mode to avoid color washout. I like Waterfox very much. I'm sure I'll get it set up in a bit. No rush. FF portable works pretty well. :)
