Strange question as this issue has never cropped up with me until now: As the header states is it possible to set up one of the accounts outgoing only?

I wonder what would happen if you did not set up the POP portion of the address in Windows Mail, but just the SMTP.

It errors out so I don't think I can. It's a curious quandary I'm in. My email spam filtering service Spamcop is downgrading what they offer and I will no longer be able to pop email out of their servers, only forward it to one of my email addresses. I chose my least used one that I was always keeping in reserve, Fastmail.
Normally I would simply then POP from their servers instead, easy, right?
Well not really as they have their own spam filtering so in order to check all their folders without forever having to go to their website I would have to set up IMAP in Windows Mail for that account. That creates a separate set of folders.
I guess I'll just have that account IMAP and all the others the usual POP. But those will have to point to Fastmail also for their incoming. All very complicated. Dammit Spamcop, I hate you for this.

It's not happening until September 30 and details at the moment are, to say the least, vague. So who knows, things may not be as drastic as I think they will be.

Now that only applies to Windows Mail as other email clients IMAP often don't import all folders, presenting even more problems as I prefer Incredimail Premium.

Maybe I should volunteer for the next one-way trip to Mars, that would solve the problem.

I have a feeling someone is going to say "you are making a mountain out of a molehill" or words to that effect, so any ideas are welcome.

Just had a brainwave. I could configure regular POP as usual in Incredimail XE Premium (I know most people think it's garbage, I don't) and keep Windows Mail solely for IMAP for checking the other folders from time to time. If I set it not to poll for email/synchronize then I trust it will work as I'm hoping.
