Hi, I've got Windows Live 2008 running on Windows Vista home basic 32 bit, service pack 2. I've got three email accounts on windows live - one of which is a btinternet.com account. Recently Windows Live has become temperamental, in that sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, but just for the btinternet account - the other two accounts always work fine.
The problem is that, having been working fine for hours or days, it suddenly starts asking for my login details. They are saved, so I click ok (have tried manually entering them again as well) and it just pops back up with the same box asking for login details. I've found that if I keep clicking ok, about 10 times, it finally accepts them and sends and receives no problem. So clearly not a problem with the account settings (as it works 80% of the time), or with the login details. If I login to the webmail using firefox there's no problem.
I've run malwarebytes in case there was a virus. I've got Mcaffee Total Protection, which I've run on the computer with Windows Live ever since I bought it a few years ago, so don't see that there should be a problem (especially as it's so hit and miss).
Any ideas much appreciated - I'm about ready to throw the thing out of the window! thanks...
