Hello!

I've resently installed vista x64 on my new computer..

CPU: Intel E6750 @ 2,66
Motherboard: Gigabyte P35 DS3
RAM: Corsair TWINX2048
GPU: GeCube 2900XT

It has been working smoothly in a week but now this morning.. :@

I've narrowed down the problem on internet using applications only.. I think :)

For example when I use firefox or IE7(32, 64 and without any plugins) they don't connect to the internet and when I turn them off they crashes. And display the following message somtimes:

"The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000005) occured in the XXXXXXXXX location.

I've also tried to solve it by using the following ideas, but it's not working at all.

I've: used the rapair thinngu that u can use with the Vista dvd
.. scaned with the command: sfg /scannow
.. scanned for virus
.. defragmened
.. turned DEP OFF
.. seached the internet used google alot, run over this forum :)
.. unplugged the computer from the internet
.. uninstalled resent installed applications
.. run windows in failsafe mode, pressing F8 at boot
.. but i can ping a connection for example Google, cmd->ping command
.. also did a system restore.. still not working

any clue what to do?

Thx in advance!

hi Arre!

sorry to hear about the access violations - puzzling that it would start happening after a week.

virus causing DEP is a possibility - but it looks like you eliminated that one.

often conflict with another service or application, especially a linux derived app like firefox or apache

and yet it still happens on a clean re-install before loading any apps right?

perhaps your NIC died, except that you can still ping google but probably have limited network connectivity . i recently encountered a situation like this - the problem was external to the computer in a switch. i rebooted all the routers etc. and ran the vista network repair - but i wasn't getting access violations.

sorry but i'm a bit stumped by this one. my only suggestion is that you should try a different OS, like xp or ubuntu which would eliminate hardware from consideration.

not much help i'm afraid :o
