Download NonUltimateDreamScene.zip (or from here) and unpack the archive content to a folder.
Right click on InstallDreamScene.bat and select “Run as Administrator” to install Windows DreamScene on your non-Ultimate version of Vista. Answer “Y” to continue. You can also open elevated command prompt with administrator rights and type InstallDreamScene.bat to execute the batch script.
Restart your computer.

dreamscene's aren't all that great. I ended up deleting the entire program. It wasn't that special. just added CPU usage at idle.. No bueno for me.

it stops automatically if you enter a full screen program, plus i got some good scenes that kinda freak my sister out when she sees them :p

Can this hack be used to extract the video files for ultimate users?? I dont want to download the "trail" version of deskscapes just to use dreams. Id much rather get the mpg files from the dreams and use them through ultimate dreamscapes? is there a way to do this?

Why would you need the hack for Vista Ultimate, when the file is designed for Vista? The hack is for running Vista Utimate Dreamscenes on non-Ultimate versions of Visa.

There is no "Ultimate Dreamscapes"- I think you are confusing Dsktop Deamscapes (3rd party app)/Stardocks Deskscapes with Vista Ultimate DreamScape.

Cuz then i can use the .dream files without deskscapes. The windows dreamscapes are few and not that great. However the .dream files are plentiful and better quality but ultimate does not recognize .dream files as acceptable files for dreamscape. the hack allows you to get the video files from .dreams that ultimate has no problems using with dreamscapes. id rather use the integrated dreamscapes software then some trail 3rd party "freeware" although its not really freeware

Well no i started to then realised quickly they all have watermarks and i find that kind of tacky so i was hoping to use the ones from the other site winwhatever where they dont have watermarks.

Yeah unfortunately there is no way to sort these wallpapers in any way and browsing through them is annoying, time consuming and alot of the m are low res [720p]

Scroll mouse over "Home of DreamScene" at top of home page for the 1080 tab, this only shows the high res images; but you are right, browsing them is tedious.
