How much is this Camera worth?

    How much is this Camera worth?

    I got this digital camera from my grandma and grandpa. It's like really old, about 9 or 10 years old, copyright on it is from 2001. It's a Sony FD Mavica, Model MVC-FD87. It has a 1.3 megapixel, and 6x optical zoom. The camera takes Floppy Disk media to record the pictures.

    I'm wondering how much it is worth today, which I'm guessing around 25 bucks, and how much it cost brand new back in 2000 or 2001, or whenever it was released.

    Not interested in selling it. I love this camera



    EDIT: I guess it can physically do a 3x zoom, and then it can do 3x digital zoom, which adds to six if you use both

    back then...

    I think you could pick one up in a big box store probably 125-150. Just guessing.
    1.3 mega pixels ... I remember getting something once that was 1.5 megapixels
    and it was like 90 bucks; but it had no capability other than to d/l to your computer.

    The Mavica was much later. Now days it's all about the megapixels and functionality.

    If you use photoshop, get Fred Miranda's stair interpolation action and process your
    images through it.

    I gave my camera to my sister.

    So, now, I only have the camera on my cell phone... meaning that my "camera" is now worth about as much as the phone... $50!

    I went to the camera shop near me on the weekend. I took my cameras [Olympus C60 zoom[£230] and Nikon F60 [£330] to find how much I'd get for them for an exchange, so I could buy a new updated 12mp camera[£350 - £500] with trimmings. To my astonishment my Olympus was worth only £15, and the Nikon (oh my god!) £40!
    Needless to say I have brought them home & am considering why the .... I am spending so much money on a very little used subject?
    I'll just wait now until they are giving them away before I buy a new one.
