Solved Email notifications - to turn off completely

I would rather not receive any email notifications whatsoever from these forums.
I thought I turned it off in User CP but I got another one.

Is there a way to totally stop email notifications?

Thanks

Actually I had notifications on by default when I made my first posting. After the first notif I turned it off but it might have been still set for on for that first posting.

Perhaps someone can reply here as a means of testing it.

Actually you tested with that second post.

I don't receive e-mail notifications of my own posts - only those from others in threads to which I've subscribed (or from PMs or from Administrators). Still the post from Richard and this post will provide the evidence you need as far as subscribed posts are concerned.

I hope it worked and I'm pretty certain it did as features in this forum work quite well and problems are very, very quickly resolved and/or repaired. Let us know if you're still getting e-mail notifications.

As an aside, I believe there are several e-mail notification choices - one involves getting them from subscribed posts, one involves getting them from receiving a Private Message, and the other involves receiving them from moderators and administrators. I just want to be sure you're aware of the different settings and have them configured as you desire. I'm sending you a Private Message so we can see if that generates an e-mail alert (so you'll know how it is currently set). EDIT: I can't send you any messages of any sort as you seem to have it turned off for both Visitor Messages and Private Messages.

Good luck!

Since I had notification turned off for at least a year Lorien may be correct about your own posts. But that being said, you certainly have enough from others now.

I have received no more.

I think email notifications should be off by default.

I also think the User CP dialog boxes weren't totally clear to some people.
