Yeah! I did sort of think of that as I was writing that! I wrote it anyway!
P.S. I do not encourage, or endorse anyone to break forum rules!
And recently you posted that you did
61 posts in the same day! There's no way I can even come close to that here. I therefore don't agree to the rule that it goes to only one person based on posting volume, but suggest that it goes to
any Guru who posts a real reply or answer to an OP in the regular forums (not Chillum or VIP or News) on Christmas day (midnight to midnight local time). That could be a lot so there's no way John would agree (in fact, I don't think he'd agree to any rules for any such contest or even the concept of such a contest).
But to be honest, I was just kidding. I agree with Richard that the whole contest is invalid and we should encourage people to spend time with familiy and friends instead of here
at least on Christmas (though I'm certain I know about a half dozen members and a half dozen management who will be here anyway -possibly even more). Besides, just doing this (any of the suggested options) is not a valid reason for that level of rep (even if we all would like to get it). On the other hand, maybe 10 points for
anyone with a valid response, reply, or answer in that 24-hour period might be nice - but it isn't going to happen and probably shouldn't happen for quite a few reasons - some named above (and the effort required to administrate it and the fact that SF and EF will then want the same, and on and on). Anyway, while it would be nice, we all know it isn't going to happen in any fashion so we can cross that off our lists.
Anyway, we're only one day away (and I desparately need to visit the FTD site - even if they might be a day or three late since there's no way I'm paying shipping for a X-Mas day delivery or a delivery today if they even do it).
Have a great day everyone (I assume most are off today since X-Mas is a Saturday) and have a wonderful tomorrow as well. I realize X-Mas is a Christian holiday, but I wonder are there any countries that don't do anything at all to celebrate it? I'm sure there are. I wonder what they do instead (not just tomorrow but do they have an equivalent day at any time of the year)? Anyone here from such a country?
