Administrator account

Hello

I was told by a friend to set up 2 administrator accounts on my system I am running windows vista home premium 64 bit sp2 and it won't let me do so, I can create a guest account but not 2 admin accounts. Can I do it on my os or is it going to be difficult.

You can set as many adminsitrator accounts as you like.

It would be my guess that you are not trying to set it up correctly. Please watch the video included with the tut, above.

The second administrator account is there for emergencies, in case yours becomes corrupted.

There is also a hidden adminstrator, which is used in emergencies.

Hello I did create another admin account but when I went to create a password it kept coming back saying windows cannot change the password. It did this 3 times

Read this carefully. If you can create a new account, you should be able to change the password, or make a password.

Guys it did something wrong, I tried to set up email in the second account which it refused my reguest so I logged out and when back into my reg admin account and I had one I will be nice Heck of a time trying to get my email to come on. When it did come up it fought real hard to not let me read my mail from the forum. So any suggestions. Thank You

One thing at a time Tom. What about the password?

After the password is fixed. Then we will have to know more about the email. What email, are you getting it online or from Windows mail etc.?

I am going to delete the second admin account and start it over again. My main IP is cox communication, so when I thought I had the second done I was going to go ahead and set everything up so I started with the eamil and I went through all of the things to set it up. Then when it failed I thought ok it must be because I already have my email steup with them, they won't allow me to set another which will leave me with getting another email account from someone else. But right after trying to set it up I had a lot of things going on with my main account not wanting to let me into my primary.

Tom, you only need to use one adminstrator account with one email. What your friend meant was just to have a second to make sure that you can always get into the system in case the first administrator account gets corrupt. If that is not what he meant that is what I am saying now.
It will be the same as what I have.

You may have to add/allow yourself to use the 'true' admin account.

Hello and I did get the password problem fixed now on to the email. My internet provider is cox communication and I am using windows mail from the computer. My main email is set up in the first admin account. Now when I try and use it in the second admin account it won't let me because I already have my email account already. So for the second admin account can I or how do I setup another email account in the second admin account.

There is no reason to do that Tom. Just use one Adminsitrator account. The second is just to get into the system if the first Account gets corrupted. Forget what your friend told you.
