Replying to threads

Just like to ask people not to stay away from threads I am on just because you think someone is on it.
Sometime I answer just so the OP knows someone is looking at it, It helps bump it as well.
Other ideas add to the help given to the OP and you may think of plenty of things I would never dream of.
I don't consider a thread mine to solve,just because I answered first. After all I'm a fitter welder by trade.
Also I don't want anyone to be upset if I add to threads you are working on, just trying to give the OP alternatives or ideas that I would try without stepping on anyone's toes. Thanks

Ilikefree's post is great & encouraging to newcomers like me.

I welcome contributions from other members in my threads as their input either suggests things I have not thought of, because of my inexperience, or it steers me in the right direction.

For those things 'thank you', don't stop.
I have tentatively contributed to other members threads, and if I haven't got it quite right, I apologise!
I merely strive to look & learn within a great team structure whose sole aim is that of helping other people.

Totally agree. If I'm attempting to help someone, I like it when others give alternative solutions, or, in many cases, support in backing up the methods given when helping someone. Even if it's just a simple:

"I had this same problem and that is how I fixed it"

Kinda like giving a boost of confidence to the person with the problem that the solutions given are valid.

I agree. Sometimes it is possible to take some or all of the alternative solutions and combine them to yield the same answer, but more effectively.

This is one of the best forums available because we all work together to create an epic solution together, without a lot of competition and even bureaucracy other forums seem to have. Just an attitude of helping each other and the OPs out to the best of our combined abilities.
