Hi everyone my name is art and I've been looking for answers all over the internet but nothing seems straightforward until i came here. I'm a little tired from reading threads all day but i think this would be the site that can help me. Ok anyway, so can anyone redirect me where I can post up a question about cleaning out my D: Drive? its really full and i need to clean it out. please

Follow the steps below:

1. Open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking Disk Cleanup.
2. In the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean up your own files only or all of the files on the computer. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. If the Disk Cleanup: Drive Selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk drive that you want to clean up, and then click OK.
4. Click the Disk Cleanup tab, and then select the check boxes for the files you want to delete.
5. When you finish selecting the files you want to delete, click OK, and then click Delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup proceeds to remove all unnecessary files from your computer.

Make sure while selecting the drives, select D: Drive.

Disk Cleanup analysisOne ofthe largest files on my laptop was the System queued Windows Error Reportingfiles. These files were generated during the month I was operating withoutVista approved wireless 802.11 LAN card drivers. Thankfully, those bad days arebehind me and I can regain over 25 Mb by deleting those files. (Figure G)

You may also have a lot of restore points. Check that as follows:

1. Open an elevated command prompt (run as admin)
2. Type or paste vssadmin list shadowstorage
3. Look for the numbers behind Allocated and Maximum for the D drive
4. Post These numbers and we will take it from there
