BSOD on Vista 64 Ultimate!

I built the compter from scratch. When i went to install vista 64 i was blue screening. So i did what everybody says and take out all hte ram except for 1 2gig chip. So everything went smooth, i updated to the new service pack. Put back all 8 gigs of ram in. Boom BSOD again. So i take out 1 chip now it runs fine. Any ideas why i cant run 8gigs of ram??

Specs:
Asus Pn5-d w/ intel core dual 2.66
8gigs of corsiar ddr2 6400 800mhz
Vision tech radeon 4850 hd 512
seagate barracuda 750gig sata 3gb/s raid
vista ultimate 64

Hi bulldozer51, welcome to the board.

Here may be what you are looking for; just follow the instruction and you are home free. Error message when you try to install Windows Vista on a computer that uses more than 3 GB of RAM: "STOP 0x0000000A"

I allready ahve that w/ the update. But i did try to hot fix it. Right now im running 6 gig of ram no problems.

But i did just com alonge anouther prob. When i install a game w/ 2 dvds it wont reconize the second disc. When i cancel out and i put any dvd/cd in it wont read it. Says its a blank disc.

Any ideas on that too
wow i never had such problems w/ a computer must be x64

One, you may have driver conflict and two, you may need firmware update. Finally, you may need a different optical drive.

what u mean firmware update? on my motherboards?? i allready flashed that to the latest.
