will somebody please take a look at this dump file ive had 2 the same. ive had a look with windbg but im a noob , only thing i can make out is memory_corruption so i ran memtest offline all night last night and have no errors , im assuming it means something else.

I know there are some clever types around who can give me a shove in the right direction , i have an overclocked Vista 64 install and in the years ive had it this is my very first bluescreen incident so im keen to see whats up

Thank you in advance for any help , i very much appreciate your time :D

Low-level memory structures have been corrupted, either by an errant driver or by misbehaving hardware (overclocking, under-cooling, outright damage...). If it's a driver, it'll be one of these:

PerfectDisk, Comodo, NOD32, SafeDisc, Tages... ? Too many cooks spoil the broth. I'd suggest updating whatever you can find updates for, and removing everything you don't really need. The red ones I highlighted purely based on age or some meaningless personal disdain ;)

My guess is that your memory corruption is caused by a hardware problem.

brilliant thank you , nod 32 av and commodo firewall and riva tuner are all i have running all the time , i can try without riva tuner i use it to control my gpu fan speeds , perfect disk is all switched off i use it only to defrag as and when , all schedules switched off.

ATI tool i installed and uninstalled a very long time ago , ill look into what and where the remnants of that are , as for the others you have marked ill look into them , ive no idea what they are??

Ill also run my cpu at stock for a while take that out of the picture , it has passed 24 hours of orthos and 8 pases of intel burn test at maxmum stress , im hoping my oc is stable but it could be the culprit , ram and gpu are all at stock so ill assume they are ok , ram has been tested overnight with memtest.

I was hoping it was you who saw this thread HS204 ;) ive seen your debug skills before

Thanks VERY much for your time mate i appreciate it , ill let you know how i get on :)

SafeDisc and Tages are (game) copyright enforcement mechanisms. Rtl* might be a realtek NIC driver - whatever it is, it's old and could do with an update, since you're troubleshooting BSoDs.

Ah, it's overclocked. There's a common misconception that running memtest and similar utils is guaranteed to reveal memory-impacting hardware issues (it's a "memory tester" after all, isn't it?). In fact, the operation of your OS and apps is also a good stress test tool, and yet it may take many days or months for an error condition to manifest itself - it may not be related to load/stress at all. Memtest not finding any obvious errors during a 24h run is always gratifying, but it doesn't rule out anything, unfortunately.

No problem at all. I'm always glad to try to help :)

Trouble is, there's no actual "debugging" to do here. A PFN (Page Frame Number) structure has been mangled and the OS runs into the problem post factum. Minidumps reveal "what", but not "why", so now it's a guessing game. My guess: it's the overclocking.

thanks :D realtech is my onboard sound , ive updated to the lates drivers , and i have my cpu at stock now , ive got some gaming time tonight ill give the rig a hard time and see how it goes :D
