Vista Error

Hi I'm new here and this seems like the most logical place to post this thread.

My computer suddenly got BSOD and restarted.

It booted up to where you type of your password, stayed there for a few seconds, then restarted again.

It repeats this over and over.

Error reads:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP: 0X0000000A (OxB60FFF69, 0x0000001B, 0x00000001, 0x820A91A4)

collecting data for crash dump ...
initializing disk for crash dump ...
beginning dump of physical memory.
dumping physical memory to disk:

I tried inserting disk and repairing vista but that was unsuccessful.

I would appreciate any help in fixing this issue.

Thanks.

Hi GameOver123, welcome to the forums.

Have you installed any new hardware, mainly USB devices? If so try removing them & rebooting Windows, this can sometimes help. Then once booted you should be able to plug the hardware back in & update the necessary drivers.

No, no new hardware/devices. I was using my usb stick at the time (but have been using it for 6 months already).

I am trying to boot in safe mode atm

PS I appreciate your help :)

UPDATE: made no progress so far, would appreciate more help :(

Every time the OS crashes it creates a DMP file in the \Windows\minidump directory. That "dump" file is a summary of the software conditions at the time of the crash. Analysis of the dump(s) can frequently help to pinpoint the cause of software-related crashes.

If you copy the latest few DMP files from that folder to a different location, then zip them up and upload the zip file here, someone may be able to tell you why the machine is crashing.

In this instance, perhaps booting to [safe mode + net] may allow you to get to the dump file(s).
