This has started happening in the past week or so and it seems as if its getting worse and worse. At the moment its unbareable. I can't play games or watch movies anymore which leads me to believe its something with my graphics card but I have updated it and even done a system restore asfar as a week or two ago. I blue screen during games and video. One time i blue screened just from browsing the web I think.

As you can see, there's many possible causes.
I'd suggest running Startup Repair from the installation DVD or the Safe Mode "Repair this computer" option (depending upon the maker of your system).
Then I'd run a bootable hard drive diagnostic: Bootable Hard Drive Diagnostics - Vox
And I might even run a bootable memory diagnostic: Bootable Memory Test Diagnostics - Vox

Also, go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up any files located there. Then upload the .zip file with your next post so we can have a go at analyzing them.

Could my computer be bluescreening because my video card is overheating? After the blue screen my computer restarts but i see no video on my monitors. I usually have to turn it off and wait a couple of minutes before I can turn it on again. I was also encoding an mkv and blue screened ;_;

Yes, it's possible that the overheating could cause this - but it may not be the video card overheating, it may be something else.
To test, try opening up the side of the case and pointing a house fan into it (DON'T touch anything inside the case when the power's hooked up!).

While the case is open, look to see if all the fans are working (especially on the CPU, PSU, and video card). If there's a bunch of gunk inside the case, unplug it from the wall and blow it out with canned air (don't use a vacuum or an air compressor as it may cause damage to the system).

Do you recall if anything was happening on those days that could have caused the crashes? Heat wave, marathon gaming sessions, etc?

I've noticed that you don't have Vista Service Pack 1 or 2 installed, and that you've got a whole bunch of older drivers on the system. Once you rule out the heat issues I would STRONGLY recommend updating your system. Update the drivers first, then the Windows Service Packs. Service Pack 1 is essential at this time, while Service Pack 2 isn't as critical but is still needed.

Finally, the July 2 memory dump blames nwifi.sys Although this driver appears to be recent (Jan 2008), it calls your wireless adapter drivers into question (and they're present in the stack trace before the crash of nwifi.sys.

So, I'd download a new copy of the LinkSys wireless drivers, uninstall the current one from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program, then install the freshly downloaded copy.

I'm going to try opening it up later tonight and installing the language packs but I just blue screened again while playing a game. It has a habbit of doing it while playing games. This also seemed to have started during summer, I guess. But it really hasn't gotten that hot over here. My graphics card is also cooled with heatsink, I'm not familiar with this cooling system. I could get a fan if it turns out being the problem because I'm not sure how effective heatsinking is.

While waiting, follow these directions to run Driver Verifier. Please read the directions first as Driver Verifier has the ability to lock your system into a BSOD loop:
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.


So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista Startup Repair feature).


Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Automatically select unsigned drivers" and click "Next"
If no drivers show up, then select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.


Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.


Reboot into Windows, turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.


If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line.

Alright, My fan seems to be running fine. I haven't checked the memory test thing. I went through hell installing windows SP1 but I got it done. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and MEMMORY_MANAGEMENT were my common blue screens. well Memory management is kind of new but IRQL happened most of the time
