Hello

So I was just searching the web just before and all of a sudden my computer crashed.

The next time it started, the graphics were all screwed up and when it gets to thebit after the Windows Loading Bar it goes to a Blue Screen of Death. The computer then restarts and the same thing keeps happening.

I tried running the computer in Safe Mode but it doesnt work either :/ neither do any of the other Advanced Options.

Does anyone know what I could do?!

After 5 attempts my computer is now running in SAFE MODE finally!

What are steps I can take to ensure the problem is fixed? THanks

If you can, please navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the memory dumps in the folder. If there isn't anything, go to start search and type .dmp

Post them here by clicking on the small paper clip by the text color selector. By attahcing these files its easier for everyone to assist you and pinpoint the problem

hmmm, I can't even get back into SAFE MODE now

it just goes to a black screen then restarts ack!

the bluescreen of death doesn't even appear now, it flashes for 1sec before the computer restarts

the error code is 0x00000116 though

That error code points directly to the nVidia video card driver...

Take the card out and try booting. If it works then download the driver and install it in safe mode.

ahh ok, thanks for the help! I shall try that now...

can a computer even run without the graphics card?!

Theres no where to put the monitor in...and because Safe Mode is no longer working I can't really do anything to fix it :/

if your motherboard has integrated graphics, it should. could you list all your specs, like i have, or someone else. if you give the motherboard name/model number, we can find out if it has integrated graphics. if there are no integrated graphics, it won't run.

Exactly. Most motherboards have some sort of integrated graphics. But if you don't have a port for your monitor besides the video card then it more then likely doesn't. Because that port is on the motherboard and uses the integrated graphics.

ahh yes, my motherboard hasn't got integrated graphics

What do you think will be the best solution now? If I replaced the graphics card would I still get the error?

I'm still under warranty for the computer so I assume they would just replace it for me.
