I can't acces to safe mode... how I can set the minidump only by command prompt in the dvd vista istallation ?? emm.. the memory dump is gone!!! I've deleted it to see if when it crash it will recreate a file.. but the system didn't create a new file!!! why? if I start the system with auto star disable by select the option in the F8 Menu.. in blu screen i can see waiting for create dump file... but it never write anythings !!
this morning i've tried to replace the drivers folder in system32 by taking a new one from DVD... i've renamed the drivers folder in drivers.bak and i've inserted the new one!! in the loading of system it say that a driver in messed up... so i've added it.. and after that I get the same error in every mode: safe and normal as when the system has the old folder of drivers.... a litle precisation: the error appear just after has finish the loading bar screen! Thanks

You're doing way too much - and that is likely to make the problem even worse.
The Driver folder not only holds drivers from the Windows DVD, but also from any other device driver updates that you may have done (Windows Update or driver installation routines).

At this point I'd have to suggest a repair installation of Vista. Try it using these instructions: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html

My Computer

I've already restore the original folder drivers...
yeah I think that a repair istallation is the better choise but I don't know how to do a repair istallation without a Safe Mode !!! I've read the Guide but there I haven't find any reference to a possible repair istallation from boot! or I'm doing a mistake ?? Thanks

My Computer

The repair install has to be done from normal mode.
If you can't get into normal mode, then you'll have to backup your data, reformat the hard drive and then install the OS fresh.

My Computer

OK thanks for suggestion..
there isn't another way to resolve the problem???
maybe trying to know why the system isn't creating a dump file
i've done the entire chkdsk.. but it didn't resolve anyting!
when I go to start up repair I take an error like bad driver...
why in XP I can do a fix installation from boot... and in Vista I can't ?
the start up repair doesn't repair anything...
I can do anything to run system in safe mode ???
Thanks

There appears (IMO) to be damage to the operating system files and registry.
SFC.EXE /SCANNOW can fix some files.
System Restore can fix some registry errors.

But nothing will rebuild the system without destroying your data like a repair install.
Microsoft made the repair install in Vista only accessible from normal mode - and was satisfied enough with it that they continued this with Windows 7.

If you can't perform a repair install, then the only alternative is to backup your stuff, reformat/KillDisk the drive, and then reinstall Vista. FWIW - the system will be a lot more responsive when you've installed it - so there is some benefit to this method.

Ok Thank You very much!!! for yours support and for yours advice!!
I've decided to perform a new Install..
so this is the opportunity to try windows 7...
Hoping that this one will be better...
thank you!! bye bye
