Blue Screen - please help read minidump file

Hi there,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me identify a problem. My PC blue screens every now and then, often in the morning while just browsing (having been woken from sleep, maybe 5 minutes or so beforehand). The blue screen mentions a driver power state failure. I have power save profiles all set to 'Never'.

I also experience what seems to be a different problem sometimes where the system just locks up, the screen either goes black or white (once, monitor one went white and monitor two went red!). Only turning the machine off and one again restores functionality - control alt delete doesn't work. I have always assumed that was a video card problem and have updated nVidia drivers, done Windows updates etc. I have run the pc without the side on in case the card was overheating, turned off open GL support in Photoshop and still experience this from time to time. As I said, I think it's a different problem and not the subject of this topic, although I mention it in case it may be of relevance or in some way related.

I have uploaded the minidump file from the BSOD (I hope I have done this correctly). Can someone take a look at point me in the right direction for what the file contains please? Any suggestions about what the dump file contains would be much appreciated.

My Computer

Hi,
What is the Ram specs of the Machine? How many rams do you have the machine.. it might be that one is getting faulty and playing up.. so if you have two slot of Ram please test it one by one..
Also what antivirus program are you running..
Try to run a disc check/ repair - if you don't know how to to run the hardware test.. post the model of your machine will try to guide you through..

cheers
and also run a hard ware test..

I have 12GB of RAM - 6 modules. I am running Comodo Internet Security, antivirus and firewall. Trouble is with testing one by one - the blue screen doesn't happen with any regularity - last one before this morning's might have been a week ago?

The lockup/screen going blank is admittedly more frequent than the blue screen.

Will see about running a hardware check - it's a custom built machine:

Intel Core i7 CPU 920 2.67GHz
Asus P6T motherboard
64 bit OS
Nvidia GeForce 880 GTS video card
Kingston DDR3 RAM modules (x6)

Were you able to view the minidump?
