Every time i run cmd.exe as an administrator the UAC ask me for permission. I select continue. Then for a split second the Black command prompt screen comes up the disapears. It comes on for such a short amount of time i cant even read it. Also when i try to run updates for some of my programs the same thing happens UAC window will ask me to continue. I select continue and then comand prompt window will pop up for a split second then go away and nothing else happens. No update or anything.

I've done all that and it works command prompt runs as administrator but then closes immediately. I can only run command prompt regular. Any time I try to run as administrator using any of the methods in that how to link it shuts down immediately. I think that's why I can't run some of my up dates.

Hello,

This is the work of the virus (unless I am very much mistaken) Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and run a full scan, and upload the logs.

If that has not fixed the problem, I will call in Jacee, a true expert in virus removal, as I cannot help you at the moment :)

Sorry it has taken me a little while to get back to you on this but i installed and ran Malwarebytes and it did find a trojan that it quarantined and deleted successfully. I then tried to run cmd.exe as administrator and still have the same problem as before. So you were kinda right. I had a virus but that didn't solve my cmd.exe problem.

I know for a fact I'm doing it right. Even if by some chance I could get running command prompt in administrator mode wrong that still does not explain why it is doing what its doing. I know how to run command prompt as an administrator. The tutorial you gave me showed me how to do something I already know how to do. My problem is not how to run cmd.exe as an administrator but what happens after I run as administrator. For some reason it just shuts down immediately. When I don't run cmd.exe as an administrator it works fine.
