BSOD Problem Please HELP!

Hello, Vista Forums Community.

I have been getting an BSOD error since late May; I re-imaged the computer, but I still get the same problem when I run many processes at a time. The funny thing is that when I take out one of the Ram memory slots, it runs perfectly (when it uses the max 4gb, it crashes).

I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6858 with the following:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz Processor
Intel G965 Chipset
Originally 2 banks of PC2-5300 DDR2-667 2GB to form a total of 4GB; which I replaced for 2 banks of PC2-6400 DDR2-800 total of 4GB thinking my problem was within the physical memory.

Attached, my minidump files.

I would appreciate if someone could lead me in the right direction.

Thank you.

Usual Causes
STOP 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

Your probable cause:
NETw4v64.sys

Solution
Based upon your Dump report I must make the following suggestions:
Go to Intel site and update the above driver (I think it is Intel)
Virus Scan
SFC /scannow

If the problem is not solved by updating the driver and following my other suggestions: uninstall your anti virus and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

If the BSOD continue after that, post the new report. If I am able I will help, or if not hopefully other members will stop by.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Forums Update Drivers

I was not going to post, since I am really pressed for time and will be on a travel status soon. If this does not solve the problem any other member should feel free to offer help.
If no other help is offered, post the new BSOD after following all my instructions and I will post as soon as possible.

Thank you very much!

I updated the NETw4v64.sys file from INTEL, and the system has been ongoing for a whole hour without crashing. Normally it would soon crash after I started downloading heavy files and opened another process.

Again, thank you very much.

In any event, good luck and enjoy.

I would, appreciate it if you report back after about a week or so to indicate the status of your computer. An hour's use really does not tell much, but I think that it is repaired.

I will get back to y'all about the BSOD. So far it's working great. Again, thank you so much on that. However, now I am having trouble with the following:

WindowsUpdate_8024402F

I have re-imaged my computer, and ever since, the windows update agent has not worked properly. I have not been able to update my OS in some time now. I have tried disabling antivirus, firewall, 3rd party security appz, etc.

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, service pack 2 (I actually had to download it manually and install it).

So far, nothing seems to work. Do you have any idea on this?

Thank you and have a safe trip.

Try the SFC command, given here.

Hello, richc46.

I performed the SFC scan. This is what I came up with:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6002]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Windows\system32>SFC /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
C:\Windows\system32>

I am attaching the CBS log zipped. Pls check it when you have the time, and let me know. Thanks for your assistance. This windows update thing is annoying.

Rgds,
xtoned.

. The procedure is to run sfc several times if errors are found. It it is still not repaired a repair install is suggested.

The only errors that I found were the side bar and that refers to gadgets.

Ok. Will perform SFC various times.

What do you exactly mean by a repair install?

The thing is, richc46, that I just perfomed a complete re-image of the computer last night. I erased the whole hard drive and installed windows vista home premium 64 bit out of the factory cd that came with the computer.

The windows update problem I had before I did the re-image, and I still do.

Wouldnt the re-image be considered somewhat of a repair install in that case?

Hello, richc46.

Thank you for that amazing link; really handy.

I really do not know what exactly helped the most, if the SFC scan, or the Windows Live OneCare scan. The thing is, after I restarted the computer, it went to download the win update files by itself. After downloading, it went to normal installation.

I really do want to thank you for your time and assistance. The computer seems to be working in prime condition.

Again, thanks.

Respectfully,
xtoned.
