Hi there had a PC for 2 years running vista, it was fine up until last week when it hung whilst browsing the net. I powered off and back on, to find it hangs at the welcome screen, or shortly before at the loading indicator.
I used the restore disc, and it ran fine for a day and did the same, ive now done 10 restores and its even at the point where it crashes during the setup where windows checks the computer performance.
PC was bought new and has not been modified in any way. Once it crashes, it fails to reach the desktop from that point onwards, and a restore is the only option.
Ive tried running a repair and it detects a startup problem, however it makes no difference.
