Blue screen error and corrupted files

Hi, I was following Brink's tutorial on how to dual-boot install with Vista and XP (Method 2: When Vista is installed first). I was able to partition just fine until I ran into a problem before step #3. I encountered a blue screen stop error which told me to check for viruses, remove any newly installed hard drives/controllers, check for corrupted files, etc.

So, then I followed SFC Command tutorial and ran sfc /scannow on the elevated command prompt and I found that I had corrupted files that were not fixed. I wanted to see exactly which files were corrupted but when I entered:
    findstr /C:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt
the exact results where: FINDSTR: CANNOT OPEN %userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

So, I have no idea how to fix this and this is preventing me from continuing on the dual-boot tutorial (at least I think this is why I'm encountering the blue screen error).

    Any help is appreciated!

Re: Blue screen error and corrupted files

I also have a couple of other questions. I ran check disk using method one in this tutorial: Check Disk - chkdsk
Where can I see the results of it since I left my computer while it was running and when I got back, I saw the log-in screen. Also, is there a difference between method 1 and typing in "chkdsk /f" in the elevated command prompt? Perhaps method one is used for only checking and typing in "chkdsk /f" in command prompt fixes issues?

Re: Blue screen error and corrupted files

Read the instructions, again. It appears that step 2 was not completed. There are no dump reports

Re: Finding the ChkDsk Log File in Vista
In Vista after you run chkdsk, open the Event Viewer and navigate to Windows Logs / Application.
In the right side section, look for:
    Source: wininit
    Event ID: 1001

Double click this event and select the Copy button on the lower left corner of that dialog.
Open Notepad and Paste the results.

In method 1 you have the option of checking boxes to either just check or to repair. The cmd command will fix. It is like checking the fix box of method 1

Ok, I ran that BSOD app again and attached it to this post. The chkdsk log is also attached.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I am absolutely sure that I ran it as administrator.
Also, how come I don't have the privilege of sending private messages?
