Hi, I was following Brink's tutorial on how to dual-boot install with Vista and XP (Method 2: When Vista is installed first). I was able to partition just fine until I ran into a problem before step #3. I encountered a blue screen stop error which told me to check for viruses, remove any newly installed hard drives/controllers, check for corrupted files, etc.
So, then I followed SFC Command tutorial and ran sfc /scannow
on the elevated command prompt and I found that I had corrupted files that were not fixed. I wanted to see exactly which files were corrupted but when I entered: findstr /C:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt
the exact results where: FINDSTR: CANNOT OPEN %userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt
So, I have no idea how to fix this and this is preventing me from continuing on the dual-boot tutorial (at least I think this is why I'm encountering the blue screen error).
Any help is appreciated!
