Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically

Well I borrowed my brothers laptop Acer Aspire 5920 . We have had it for about 3 weeks worked great today my husband shut it without shutting it down, when i turned it back on it goes to Startup repair but then it tells me that it cannot repair the computer automatically.. Here is the problem signatures I am getting Problem event name StartUpRepairV2 Problem Signature 1 AutoFailover Problem Signature 2 6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000 Problem Signature 3 6 Problem Siganture 4 1310740 Problem Signature 5 NoBootFailure Problem Signature 6 CorruptFile Problem Signature 7 3221225705 Problem Signature 8 3 Problem Siganture 9 WrpRepair Problem Signature 10 1117 Os Version 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID 1033 Please help I am hoping this is an easy fix..I did try starting in safe mode and that didnt work also tried last known good configuration that didnt work either..Any help Asap would be greatly appreciated as I have to return this next week... Thank You!!
