BSOD when loading XP Setup

Note: This problem is on my Sony VAIO VGN-NS25G. Here are specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 (2GHz)
2GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory
250GB SATA HDD
Windows Vista Ultimate

I decided to put Windows XP and pass the VAIO system to one of my friends. When I load the Windows XP Install Disc (from retail stores), it starts loading files. When it says "Setup is loading Windows", after few seconds; it automatically crashes the system and comes the BSOD. No dump files

Looks similar to this:

When I go to BIOS; all I had were these:
System Information, Time and Date
Boot Priority
BIOS Password
Saving & Exiting

That's all. I felt pissed how the VAIO System really sucks. There were no SATA configuration, or anything like that. Just those 4 stuff were in the BIOS above.

If you're going to finish using Vistax64 - then just log out.

There's accounts still logged in 24/7, but never on.

This may be a Virus STOP Error 0x7B is a common error in XP when you are Installing it

It applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional
  • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 64-Bit Datacenter Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise x64 Edition

EDIT: Do you still have Vista or another OS Installed? If so run Check-disk

Yes, It is asking you for a Driver for your HDD Which could be the Problem ;)
